Beautiful Day 19th April

Wow what a lovely hot spring day 23.5C today!

I came home from work and weeded the front garden beds watered the back garden with the hose and checked over the crop! Broad beans are growing so quickly along with the sweet corn. I opened the green house this morning before leaving for work and the door managed to close. I noticed some Gem lettuce have completely scorched and rocket.

Sweet peas, Asters, Pansies, Petunias and Daisy's are all beginning to grow fast also. These will be ready for my hanging baskets.

I sowed some more grass seeds as birds must have had a go at them.

Snails and slugs are starting to make an appearance there leaving there marks on my radish!

Top Tip of the Day

Plant marigolds, Garlic and Sweet Basil inbetween the tomatoes plant to act as a insect repellent.
