We went out to the local nursery in Sturmer Suffolk and she was looking at all the alpine varieties they had. I have never really been into rockeries at all. These plants were so tiny and cute. Karen was telling me she had done this before and luckly had lots of large rocks in the new garden.
She cleared an area from plants and weed and gathered some soil and mixed this in the wheel barrow with compost and tipped this in one pile. But this is depending on how high you want it. Then she carefully pushed in the mound of soil large stone and rocks layering it. Then putting the plants around keeping them in the pots first to make sure they were where she wanted them. Then planting them!
